Q1. Where did you get your first tattoo and do you know by who?
A. I got my first tattoo done by A guy called Chris in Punctured Skin
(Frome , Somerset) It was the girl on my right arm.
Q2. What was going through your mind when you got your first
tattoo?
A. Well at first I was a bit nervous, different people kept on telling
me it hurts, it doesn't hurt blah blah. But I knew it really depends on
the area that you are having tattooed so I was preparing myself
mentally to get it done, but when I got in their and got started excitement
replaced any other feelings I was having.
Q3. Is there a meaning behind your first tattoo and what is it if
you care to share?
A. My tattoos don't really have a meaning I would say but they are more
to feed my inner child and also they reflected my personality
Q4. What is your favorite tattoo, where is it and why?
A. It would have to be the left arm as that one is finished ( for now)
but I love both my sleeves
Q5. What advice can you give people who are looking to get ink for
the first time?
A. For the love of god don't what ever you do don't pick something of a
flash card, I really hate it when people do that. Who wants a tattoo
that someone else will have. But people who do that Are usually people
that use tattoos as a fashion accessories and will regret it in the
future. But if you want
someone that is your own then my advice is to think really hard what you
would like, then go talk to several tattooist. make sure you like their
work etc etc and then get something done when your happy with the
design.
Q6. What is your inspiration behind your body art?
A. I love tattoos ever since I was a little girl I used to collect the
stick on tattoos and get the magazines. I got in to tattoos because of
my dad he had hearts and swallows on his fore arm and something written
in German on a scroll. My father isn't to keen on my tattoos but he does
understand they make me happy and in the end of the day that what
matters. The inspiration for the tattoos came from me being a little
girl, I still to this day love cartoons and one of my fav artist is rion
who does pin up toons but in a Goth style, I feel in love with his work
and pick two that I felt represent my personality. then the other parts
are all centered around the girls.
Q7. What would you say was your most memorable piece getting?
A. That's a hard one to say really, I could say my first tattoo the girl
on my right arm because she was my first and I was so happy with her but
I knew I needed more she needed to be complete. Or it could be when I
got my left sleeve finished seeing it in all its glory is amazing.
Q8. Do you have any new ideas for any more work lined up?
A. I am starting to think about what to get tattooed on the inner part
of my arm to finish the right arm off, but I haven't found anything yet
to spark off an idea.
Q9. Who was your favorite artist that has tattooed you? Plus what
did they do.
A. My fav would have to be my mate jaks she's an amazing tattooist and a
great mate, she did the background for the girl on the right arm and she
did the whole of the left arm. she give me input on my tattoos and is a
great help to me. I cant imagine getting tattoo by anyone else. www.mad4tatz.com
Q10. Do you like staying with one artist or do you like trying to
go to new artist each time?
A. I stay with jaks, am totally happy with the work she does on me, like
I said before she gives me input on my ideas and any questions I have
she gives my the answers and plus we get to have a good old natter and
watch some silly TV after :P I believe its important to have a good
relationship with your tattooist if you don't I feel that you may not
get what you want out of your tattoo.
Q11. Do you believe tattoos are addictive? Why do you like
getting tattooed?
A. Yes they are I am so addicted, my problem is I hate being unbalanced
so not having the inner arm finished on the right arm is really bugging
the hell out of me at the moment.
Q12. When would you say you like getting tattooed the most is it at a
certain time in your life or when you get that itch to get one done.
A. Usually its when I have the money, which is pretty easy when your at
uni because you get a fat loan coming in every couple of months, but I usually
wait until I have a reason to treat myself or when I am down and need
something to put a smile back on my face :)
Q13. Any additional comments?
A. I really want to say something that is full of meaning and wise but I
will most likely mess it up but here it goes. Getting tattooed its like
crossing a road in a curtain point in life, you need to look at both the
options the good and bad then decide if its safe to cross that point. I
know a load of rubbish but hay I gave it a go :P Don't be a chav get a
really tattoo :P
