Where did you get your first tattoo and do you know by who?
A. Kevin Cronin, in a bus in larkspur, co. The tattoo is tiger lilies
covering 1/2 my tummy and my groin.
Q2. What was going through your mind when you got your first tattoo?
A. Mother fucker that hurts!
Q3. Is there a meaning behind your first tattoo and what is it if you
care to share?
A. I've since forgotten if there was any meaning other than I thought
they were pretty (it was 19 years ago after all)
Q4. What is your favorite tattoo, where is it and why?
A. the little kitties on my wrists...my daughter drew when she was six
Q5. What advice can you give people who are looking to get ink for the
first time?
A. think about what you want and why for a while. check out the shop
ask around and see who's a good artist. word of mouth is a great way
to go.
Q6. What is your inspiration behind your body art?
A. different pieces have different meanings and memories. Some are to
always honor people and the kid art is to show my daughter how amazing
I think she is.
Q7. What would you say was your most memorable piece getting?
A. well the Celtic girdle was memorable as it hurt like
crazy...um...they are all pretty memorable when you come right down to
it.
Q8. Do you have any new ideas for any more work lined up?
A. absolutely....kid art sleeves...skull and cross bones on my
legs...some pin ups and I'd like some white henna work style stuff on
my hands...so many tats so little skin
Q9. Who was your favorite artist that has tattooed you? Plus what did
they do.
A. Scot Spyder Kumo from animated canvas in Columbia SC is my
favorite.
He
did the pink swirly thing on the back of my neck. He's an amazing
artist and a heck of a guy.
Q10. Do you like staying with one artist or do you like trying to
go to new artist each time?
A. well if you find an artist you get along with and like their
work...then I like to give them the work but different people have
different styles...so, yes to both?
Q11. Do you believe tattoos are
addictive? Why do you like getting tattooed?
A. absolutely...I love them and plan to be covered. there's the
saying that you either have 2 or allot
and I believe that's true. although I knew I was hooked after my first
one. just seeing the bright colors decorating my skin, I wanted to
have myself covered.
Q12. When would you say you like
getting tattooed the most is it at a certain time in your life or when
you get that itch to get one done.
A.
I got a fair amount in my youth, but then through one thing and
another didn't get tattooed for about 11 years. When I started back up
the desire and drive to be covered came back with a vengeance and I
plan to continue till I'm done...when ever that is.
